Biography


Cole C. Seiler (“Cole”) is Vice President of Originations for B.E. Blank and Company, wherein he leads the firm’s transaction origination efforts. Prior to joining B.E. Blank & Company, Cole spent the first four years of his career playing professional soccer, and was drafted as 16th overall pick as centre-back in the first round of the 2016 Major League Soccer (“MLS”) Super Draft by the Vancouver Whitecaps FC organization. Cole made his first team debut during the 2016 Canadian Championship and started more than 40 matches with the Whitecaps FC organization. During his final season in professional soccer with the Greenville Triumph, Cole was awarded USL League One All League First Team Honors and the 2019 Legacy Award for Community Service.

Cole’s first professional role outside professional soccer was with Trellis Advisors (“Trellis”) as a Business Development Associate, assisting with transaction origination, revenue acceleration, and overall performance platform investments for several lower-middle-market private equity firms. While at Trellis, Cole co-led the outreach campaign for The Riverside Company, one of the country’s most highly respected lower-middle-market private equity firms specializing in high-volume investment sourcing and transaction origination. More recently, Cole served as the Director of Business Development for Holbrook Ventures (“Holbrook”), a South Carolina-based multi-family office founded by two operating and investment executives with track records of founding, growing, scaling, and acquiring lower-middle-market companies. While at Holbrook, Cole was responsible for originating and qualifying new acquisition opportunities and overseeing relationships with prospective CEOs of lower-middle-market companies.

Throughout Cole’s career in professional soccer, he has volunteered with numerous charitable organizations, including visits to pediatric oncology wards, meal deliveries to the elderly, and volunteering at local homeless hygiene centers. Since 2020, Cole has co-led efforts to bring the Over Under Initiative, a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and wellness of children by increasing access to sports in urban neighborhoods where kids are in the most need of these proven benefits, to his hometown of Anderson, SC.

Cole holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University, where he was a three-time Big East All-Academic Recipient and captained the Georgetown Men’s Varsity Soccer Team to the Big East Championship in 2015, and was a member of the Big East Championship team that was runner-up in the 2012 NCAA Division 1 National Championship game.
